La pige: une vision d’avenir (débat)

<p>Le journalisme indépendant est l'avenir de la profession, et non une voie de garage précaire. C'est la thèse que défend la journaliste Mariève Paradis, de l'Association des journalistes indépendants du Québec (AJIQ), dans <a href="http://projetj.ca/article/la-pige-une-vision-d%E2%80%99avenir">un texte publié sur <em>ProjetJ</em></a> en réaction à un récent <a href="http://www.lapresse.ca/arts/medias/201201/09/01-4484034-quel-avenir-pour-les-journalistes.php">article de Nathalie Collard</a>, de <em>La Presse</em>, portant sur la précarité des jeunes journalistes.

Mélissa François: la direction de TVA répond au syndicat

<p>La direction de TVA se défend d'avoir mal agi à l'égard de Mélissa François. Dans un communiqué, elle réplique à la sortie publique du syndicat de la chaîne qui réclamait hier le retour à l'antenne de la journaliste lectrice de nouvelles. Le syndicat s'insurge qu'elle ait été rétrogradée peu avant Noël après avoir annoncé à LCN la mort de Kim Jong-Deux , au lieu de celle de Kim Jong-Il.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm"><strong><font color="#000000">Surnuméraire parmi d'autres</font></strong></p>

Question of the day: Has social media simply become plain old media?

<p>A new <a href="http://www.forbes.com/sites/marketshare/2012/01/12/trust-me-im-a-social-media-expert/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">blog on Forbes</a> today asked this question:</p><blockquote><p>Haven’t we reached the point where social media has simply become plain old <em>media</em>? Seriously, look at any daily newspaper online today and you’ll see an aggregate of blogs. It’s all just a series of channels through which we are trying to send a message, engage on some level, reciprocate feedback, build reputation, make a buck, or all of the above.</p>

Shaw Media, Global BC to launch all-news channel in British Columbia

<p>Shaw Media <a href="http://www.shawmedia.ca/media/media.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a</a><a href="http://www.shawmedia.ca/media/media.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nnounced today</a> that it has filed an application with the CRTC to launch a regional, Global BC-driven, all-news specialty channel in British Columbia by this summer.</p><p>The channel, which has yet to be named, will consist of all-day news programming with a regional focus, providing live event coverage and original local reporting. It will also feature a primetime talk show hosted by Global BC anchor Jill Krop.   </p>
