Wait, what?</p><p>Indeed. <a href="http://publiceditor.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/01/12/should-the-times-be-a-truth-vigilante/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The column</a> by the <em>Times</em> public editor seemed to assert that reporters have not been challenging facts that are told to them and asked readers if they wanted the paper to do more of this.</p>
