One month left to apply for Peter Gzowski Life Literacy Fellowship

<p>Journalists have one month left to apply for the Peter Gzowski Life Literacy Fellowship, which grants reporters $3,000 to research and develop a story on adult literacy in Canada. Last year's winner was Susan Quinlan of the <em>Prairie Post West Newspaper,</em> who wrote about the growing Low German Mennonite community in southern Alberta, and its struggles to access literacy courses. Sun Media agrees to meet with Ontario Press Council; discuss withdrawal

<p>Contrary to Sun Media's claims, Ontario Press Council decisions are not politically correct and are only made after careful consideration, says Council chair Robert Elgie.</p><p>Elgie has issued an open letter to Sun Media in response to <a href="/article/it-disappoints-me-ontario-press-council-chairs-reaction-after-sun-media-pulls-out">Sun Media's decision to quit the Council earlier this week</a>, blaming the decision on the OPC's so-called politically correct bias and its alliance with the Sun's philosophically-oppositional competitors.</p>
