2012 COPA finalists announced

<p> </p><p>The <a href="http://www.canadianonlinepublishingawards.com/">Canadian Online Publishing Awards has named its finalists</a> for the 2012 awards, which will be presented on Oct. 22 at The Hoxton in Toronto.</p><p>Nominations were made in three categories. The COPAs break them down in the following manner: Red (consumer, custom, religious, public association); Blue (business-to-business, professional association, farm, scholarly); and Green (daily and weekly newspapers, and broadcasters).</p>

Journalists banned from school grounds where Toronto mayor coaches: Toronto Star

<p> </p><p>Reporters have been banned from Don Bosco Catholic Secondary School grounds after observing Toronto Mayor Rob Ford – the Don Bosco Eagles football team’s coach - and some of his aides during games and practices, <a href="http://www.thestar.com/news/gta.html">the <em>Toronto Star </em>reports</a>. The school’s principal and vice-principal, accompanied by a police officer, informed journalists standing by a gate to the school yard that they weren’t allowed on the property.</p>
