Less than a week after revealing plans to shut down at the end of the year, newspaper industry publication Editor & Publisher has now announced it will publish a January issue.
A statement on the E&P website reads:
“Due to overwhelming reader and advertiser demand, Editor & Publisher will publish its next issue, the January 2010 edition, as planned, Editor Greg Mitchell announced today. The issue will be mailed to subscribers around Jan. 4. But it may still be the final issue of E&P, after 125 years.”
In addition, the note mentioned that “a number of outside companies and individuals have expressed interest in possibly keeping E&P going” and that readers should “stay tuned for updates.”
