Marci Ien announced as new co-host of Canada AM

<p> </p><p>This morning, CTV’s <a href="http://canadaam.ctvnews.ca" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Canada AM</a> announced its new co-host. Marci Ien will be taking the spot of Seamus O'Regan, who has hosted the morning show for the past nine years. </p><p>O’Regan <a href="http://j-source.ca/article/seamus-o%E2%80%99regan-leaves-canada-am-joins-ctv-national-news" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> on Nov. 8 that he would be leaving Canada AM to become a correspondent for CTV National News.</p><p>Ien, who is currently on maternity leave, will begin on January 9, 2012. </p>

Court rules CBC must hand over documents to information commissioner

<p>The Federal Court of Appeal has <a href="http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2011/11/23/cbc_loses_information_battle_in_court.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ruled that the CBC must hand over</a> all the documents at the centre of the broadcaster’s access-to-information dispute to Canada’s information commissioner, Suzanne Legault. The CBC had tried to block the commissioner from seeing the documents after she received a complaint from the requestors. She will review whether the broadcaster has properly applied exemptions under federal access to information laws.</p>
