What’s next for news? Shirky, Keen & Ingram to discuss at Ryerson

Globe and Mail communities editor Mathew Ingram, media futurist Clay Shirky and author Andrew Keen are gathering at The Ryerson School of Journalism on Oct. 2 to debate and discuss the future of news.

The event, titled “What’s next for news: A conversation about the Future of Journalism,” also includes a pre-panel discussion featuring young(er) journalists talking about the same topic. This panel includes:

  • Moderator Mary Sheppard, Executive Producer, CBCNews.ca
  • Bryan Borzykowski, senior editor at Canadian Business Online
  • Amber MacArthur, new media journalist at CTV
  • Romina Maurino, reporter/editor at Canadian Press
  • Adrian Ma, freelance journalist
  • Marissa Nelson, senior editor, digital news, with the Toronto Star
