The Nunatsiaq News, a small weekly newspaper in Nunavut, is among the finalists for the 2006 Michener Awardfor public-service journalism. The News is nominated for articles about the impact of climate change on the Arctic. Other finalists include The Globe and Mail, CBC News, and a joint investigative series on aviation incident and accident data by the Toronto Star, the Hamilton Spectator and The Record.
