Seamus O’Regan, the former co-host of CTV’s Canada AM and a CTV National correspondent, was appointed distinguished visiting innovator at Ryerson University’s Digital Media Zone and RTA School of Media.

O’Regan will mentor and advise entrepreneurs and RTA Media graduate student innovators over the course of a two-year term.

“Seamus’ acute understanding of and perspective on Canada’s evolving media landscape means our students will learn how effective storytelling can help to advance their ideas and innovations,” said Gerd Hauck, dean of the faculty of communication and design, in a press release.

“Ryerson is a leading training ground and incubator for Canada’s future media professionals and digital innovators, so I’m grateful for this opportunity to contribute to its reputation and to support students in their career endeavours,” O’Regan added.
