The South Asian Journalists Association Journalism Awards recognize excellence in coverage of South Asia, as well as outstanding reporting by South Asian journalists and students in the U.S. and Canada. Submissions for the 2009 Awards, which are open to media companies and freelancers headquartered in the U.S. and Canada, can include print articles, editorials, photographs and new media pieces published, and broadcasts aired, in 2008. Deadline is March 20.
