Rogers shakes up masthead at business publications

Rogers Media has shuffled some of its top editors at its business publications, and let go of an additional three staff.

Canadian Business deputy editor James Cowan has been promoted to the editor-in-chief role effective immediately. Meanwhile, outgoing editor-in-chief Duncan Hood will take the helm of MoneySense as editor as well as director of personal finance for publishing, Rogers spokesperson Louise Leger told J-Source. Jonathan Chevreau, who was the editor of MoneySense prior to this shuffle, becomes editor-at-large at MoneySense

Meanwhile D.B. Scott, who runs Canadianmags.blogspot.ca, reported that Rogers has let go of three staff. Leger confirmed Canadian Business managing editor Conan Tobias, senior writer Matt McClearn and online editor Trevor Melanson have been let go, but would not discuss the details.
