North American newspapers face $25 billion revenue drop

North American newspapers will lose a third of their advertising revenue over the next three years, according to a new report by PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Canadian papers will fare better than newspapers south of the border, but both face steep declines in display advertising, according to Global Entertainment & Media Outlook: 2009 – 2013. The newspapers will lose a combined $25 billion in advertising revenue, according to a summary of the report published in Editor & Publisher.
