NMA finalists announced

The National Magazine Awards Foundation announced the list of finalists for its 34th annual awards. In all, 379 submissions from 88 different publications are nominated for awards in 43 written, visual, integrated and online categories.

The Walrus leads the pack with 35 nominations, Report on Business
follows with 31 and Toronto Life is close behind at 30 nominations.
Other top nominated magazines include: L’actualité, explore,
Maisonneuve, Maclean’s and enRoute.

There are also a number of first time nominees, including Eye Weekly, OpenFile and Corporate Knights.

The three finalists for the Magazine of the Year award are Canada’s History, Cottage Life, and MoneySense.

A special congratulations to J-Source Associate Editor Lauren McKeon, who is nominated in the Politics & Public Interest category for her piece in This Magazine entitled “The Prisoner Dilemma”.
