READ MORE<p><em>Rabble.ca</em> has appointed Meagan Perry as its new interim editor-in-chief after the online magazine fired Derrick O’Keefe last month.</p><p>O’Keefe, who had been working as editor since April 2012, claimed he was fired without cause on a week’s notice, and his departure was followed with the resignation of one of his colleagues, Ethan Cox.</p>

READ MORE<p><em>The Globe and Mail</em> has let go of <em>Report on Business</em> deputy editor Rob Delaney and presentation editor Liza Sardi as a part of its company-wide reduction in management staff.</p><p>In a memo sent to staff, editor-in-chief John Stackhouse said “their departures, effective today, are part of a reduction in management staff across the company in recognition of the overall business environment this year.”</p><p>Delaney joined the <em>Globe</em> this summer. He had previously worked with Bloomberg. Sardi joined the newspaper in March 2012.</p>

READ MORE<p>Jane Francisco, the editor-in-chief of <em>Chatelaine,</em> has been appointed editor-in-chief of <em>Good Housekeeping</em>, the American women’s lifestyle magazine owned by Hearst.</p><p>Francisco replaces Rosemary Ellis, who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities, Hearst announced in a <a href="http://www.hearst.com/press-room/pr-961-20131111.html">statement</a>. Francisco joins Hearst on Dec. 2.</p>
READ MORE<p>Rogers Media has announced sweeping changes to programming at some of its radio stations, after <a href="http://j-source.ca/article/94-layoffs-rogers-media">laying off 94 staff</a>.</p><p>At Ottawa’s 1310 News, Rogers laid off seven staff, <a href="http://www.ottawacitizen.com/business/Ottawa+1310+News+revamps+programming+wake+Rogers+layoffs/9128762/story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to the <em>Ottawa Citizen</em></a>. A significant proportion of the station’s content will now come from Rogers’ all-sports station Sportsnet 590 The FAN. </p>
