A helicopter used for traffic reporting by Quebec television network TVA crashed Wednesday morning in Montreal. The pilot and journalist involved survived and are in stable condition, CBC News reports.
Antoine Léger piloted the helicopter that also carried journalist Réjean Léveillé. The crash occurred in a vacant lot near a service road on Montreal’s Bonaventure Expressway.
A hospital spokesperson told CBC News that both men suffered multiple fractures but are in stable condition.
According to a Montreal Gazette report Leveillé is a 20-year veteran of the TVA network and Léger has been part of the team since TVA launched its news helicopter in 2005.
