The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University is receiving a three-year, $552,000 grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to establish a centre for new media entrepreneurship and digital media products. The centre is designed to nurture “innovative ideas for using digital news and information to build and bind community in specific geographic areas,” according to the foundation.
