Four law students at Osgoode Hall have filed human rights complaints against Maclean’s magazine because it has refused to change what they regard as a hateful and stereotypical editorial campaign against Muslims. At issue, besides freedom of expression issues, is a lack of protection in Ontario human rights legislation for minority groups who feel targeted by hateful speech.
