Jean-Philippe Cipriani named editor-in-chief of ProjetJ

Our French-language sister site, ProjetJ, has named Jean-Philippe Cipriani its new editor-in-chief.

Cipriani began his journalism career at Le Soleil and spent ten years working at Radio-Canada across all platforms. In February 2012, he helped launch The Huffington Post Quebec, serving as its news editor.

Anne Caroline Desplanques, ProjetJ's former editor-in-chief and current Le Journal de Montreal reporter, will support Cipriani through the transition. Desplanques ran ProjetJ until July 2012 and supported her replacement, Stephanie Lalut, over the last few months.

Cipriani is honoured to join ProjetJ, stating in a release, "The shift to digital platforms particularly appeals to me, as well as the growing place of opinion in the news."
