Globe and Mail deputy editor Sylvia Stead and Report on Business media reporter Grant Robertson took reader questions in an Globe online forum on March 17.
Robertson, with Sinclair Stewart, wrote a recent Globe feature called “Future of media: Is democracy written in disappearing ink?“, which stated:
“The question posed by the Chronicle’s potential demise isn’t merely
whether the quality of journalism will erode in lockstep with the print
industry, but whether the bevy of online surrogates that have sprung up
can muster the resources and the reach to carry on that tradition.”
