The Globe and Mail’s online multimedia series “Inside Hamas” has been nominated for a News Documentary Emmy Award.

The series is nominated in the category of New Approaches to News Documentary Programming: Current News Coverage—the third time The Globe has received such a nomination, and in fact, they took the prize in their previous nominations in 2009 and 2010, both of which centred on issues in Afghanistan.

As for who was involved in the creation of the series: Patrick Martin, correspondent; Heidi Levine, videographer; Stephen Northfield, deputy managing editor; Chris Manza, senior interactive designer; Philippe Devos, digital editor; and Julian Liurette, video coordinatior.

The Globe is up against The New York Times’ documentary on the life and death of Derek Boogard, ABCNews.com’s Target bin Laden: The Death and Life of Public Enemy #1” and NBC’s “Education Nation,” among others.
