The Canadian Press has launched a mobile news site that can be accessed by cellphones, smartphones and other mobile devices. Developed by the Associated Press on its mobile platform, the two sites — http://news4mobile.ca in English and http://nouvellesmobile.ca in French — will feature content from CTVglobemedia, Torstar and Transcontinental among other partner providers.
A press release from The Canadian Press states that site will offer users a high level of customization, allowing them to select and download content by entering in a postal code for news by region, or from a range of categories such as business, sports, hockey, entertainment, technology, science, travel and wacky news.
Attendees at the CTIA Wireless 2009 conference (April 1-3) in Las Vegas will have a chance to demo the product at the AP booth.
