CBC Radio shuffle at the top: Donlon out, Boyce moves up

Just two weeks after CBC Radio programs won an impressive 26 international awards, the head of the service, Denise Donlon, has lost her job and replaced by her second-in-command, Chris Boyce.
According to one report, “the restructuring fallout surprised few people” inside the CBC who have been watching a major management dance since the head of all English service, Richard Stursberg, was forced out just a year ago.
Donlon was appointed by Stursberg in 2008. The following year, the former Sony Canada president and Much Music producer was named one of the most powerful Canadian women executives in Canada by The Women’s Executive Network.
Boyce has been CBC Radio’s programming director since 2008.
