Former BBC News editor Rachel Nixon has been appointed director of digital media for CBC News, the CBC has announced. After a decade at the BBC, Nixon left in 2008 to become global news editor of NowPublic.com. She officially takes on the new CBC role June 1, filling the shoes of Jon Dube, who left in August 2008 to become vice-president of ABCNews.com.
