CBC Kitchener Waterloo Morning Edition back on air Friday

CBC Radio is bringing back its Morning Edition show in Kitchener-Waterloo an air Friday after recieving CRTC approval earlier today.

CBC filed its application for the Waterloo Region service with the CRTC in June 2012, but it did not recieve permission to broadcast. The show had launched just over a month ago and was the first new station the CBC had opened in Ontario in the last 40 years.

The broadcaster called it an "unfortunate oversight."
