Shaw Media, Global BC to launch all-news channel in British Columbia

<p>Shaw Media <a href="http://www.shawmedia.ca/media/media.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a</a><a href="http://www.shawmedia.ca/media/media.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nnounced today</a> that it has filed an application with the CRTC to launch a regional, Global BC-driven, all-news specialty channel in British Columbia by this summer.</p><p>The channel, which has yet to be named, will consist of all-day news programming with a regional focus, providing live event coverage and original local reporting. It will also feature a primetime talk show hosted by Global BC anchor Jill Krop.   </p>
