On the one hand Stursberg proves himself to be an incredibly astute observer of what was wrong with the CBC. Amazingly, he also comes across as a man whose bungled solutions to the CBC’s problems were in many cases wrongheaded - and worse - contradictory.</p>

I wondered if I, as TV journalist, was about to be replaced by anyone armed with a smartphone. That has not happened. I’m still gainfully employed, but the relationship between traditional journalists and citizens is changing. We are now involved in more collaborative storytelling. </p>
