Brodie Fenlon leaves HuffPo Canada to join CBC as new managing editor of digital

<p>Brodie Fenlon is joining CBC News as managing editor of digital on July 29. </p><p>He is currently the managing editor for news at Huffington Post Canada, and was a part of the initial launch team of Huffington Post in Canada and the launch of B.C. and Alberta sites. </p><p>Fenlon previously worked at <em>The Globe and Mail</em>, where he was a news and features editor for globeandmail.com. </p><p><b>Related content on J-Source:</b></p>

Updated: Rob Russo joins CBC as managing editor of Parliamentary bureau

<p><img align="left" alt="" class="imagecache-thumbnail inline-image" hspace="10" src="http://j-source.ca/sites/www.j-source.ca/files/imagecache/thumbnail/images/russo.jpg" title="" />Rob Russo, the former Ottawa chief for the Canadian Press, is joining CBC as the managing editor of the parliamentary bureau. Russo takes over for Paul Hambleton in September, who is moving to Toronto as the new managing editor of Radio and Television programming.</p>

Postmedia extends CEO Godfrey’s contract to 2016

<p>Postmedia Network Canada has extended the contract of president and CEO Paul Godfrey to December 2016.</p><p>“Extending Paul’s contract provides continuity for the Company as it continues to focus on the important work of its ongoing transformation,” said Graham Savage, chair of Postmedia’s compensation and pension committee, in a statement. “The Board is unanimous in its support of the extension and has a great deal of confidence in Paul’s leadership.”</p>
