CanWest Global Communications Corp. is considering selling off some of its Australian and New Zealand media assets in a bid to buy back its newspaper income trust, reported the Globe and Mail today. Experts say even a partial sale of its Australian televison holdings which are worth about $2 billion could finance the half-billion dollar re-acquisition of CanWest MediaWorks Income Trust.
