Canadians win travel journalism awards

The North American Travel Journalists Association Awards honours the best of travel writing and photography by travel journalists in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The event, in its 18th year, also awards travel promotion by public relations agencies and destination marketing organizations.

Canadian winners include:

• Destination Travel, International Newspaper, Less than 250,000 – Lindor Reynolds, Winnipeg Free Press
• Budget Travel – Lisa Gregoire, Canadian Geographic Travel
• Cover Photo, Illustration – Andre Doyon, enRoute, Spafax
• Landscape, Seascape – Robin & Arlene Karpan, Canadian Geographic Traveler
• Destination Video, Less than $400,000 – Winnipeg Convention Centre, Ron Pradinuk
