Ashley Csanady is joining Canada.com as a news editor based in Toronto.
Csanady was a reporter with Queen’s Park Briefing—an e-newsletter distributed when the Ontario legislature is in session—for the past two years.
“After two years learning the ropes of political reporting at Queen's Park, I'm very excited to tackle a new challenge,” she told J-Source in an email. “My penchant for politics won't disappear completely in this new role, but I will also enjoy covering a wider range of topics for a national audience. And, I look forward to contributing to Postmedia's new multi-platform strategy as it rolls out across the chain.”
She will join Canada.com on Aug. 5. Her replacement has not been named yet.
Her departure follows that of another reporter, Andrew Reeves, who she said left to pursue a master's of fine arts in creative non-fiction.
