The Walrus has announced that Brian Morgan will be returning to the magazine as art director. Morgan replaces Antonio De Luca, who announced his resignation in June.
Morgan is no stranger to the magazine, as he worked in the Walrus art department from 2004-2006. He is leaving his position as deputy art director at Maclean’s to take on the new job at the Walrus. He has previously held positions with The Globe and Mail and CanWest Media.
“We
are thrilled Brian is returning,” said co-publisher and interim editor John Macfarlane, in the release. “It’s been my
privilege over the years to work with some exceptionally talented art
directors, and I think Brian is in their league. I’m confident he’ll
make The Walrus not just the most beautiful magazine in Canada but one of the most beautiful magazines in the world.”
