Canadian media ethicist Stephen Ward has launched a new website, Media Morals, that will explore journalism ethics in global media world.

The site will primarily feature Ward’s thoughts and personal views on journalism but will also include outside contributions. Ward will be director of the site and Wendy Swanberg, a journalism historian and former news producer in Wisconsin, will be its editor. She will also write a column on free press issues.

“Theoretically, we need to re-think journalism and develop standards for a multi-platform journalism with global impact, written by professionals and citizens,” Ward said in a press release. “Practically, we also have to support responsible journalists wherever they work.”
