Kamloops This Week hires three laid-off reporters from defunct competitor

Karine Ewart named editor-in-chief of Chatelaine

Ewart replaces Jane Francisco, who become the editor-in-chief of <em>Good Housekeeping</em>, an American women’s lifestyle magazine owned by Hearst, in December.</p>

Ed Greenspon joins Bloomberg as Canada editor-at-large

His primary focus will be expanding the company’s investigative and explanatory journalism in Canada.  </p><p>"Bloomberg has a business model capable of supporting great reporting and the ambition to be the best wherever it competes," said Greenspon in a statement. Canadian Jewish News names new president and editor

<p>Elizabeth Wolfe is the new president of the <em>Canadian Jewish News (CJN)</em>. Wolfe, who previously served as  vice-president, took helm of the independent Jewish newspaper last week when Donald Carr stepped down as president after 23 years. The <em>CJN</em> also appointed Yoni Goldstein as the new editor starting Jan. 6, 2014.</p>

Ed Greenspon leaves Star Media Group

<p>Ed Greenspon, vice-president of business development at the <em>Toronto Star,</em> is leaving the newspaper.</p><p>Greenspon joined Star Media Group after leaving his post as editor-in-chief of <em>The Globe and Mail</em> in 2009. At Star Media Group, Greenspon headed up Star Content Studios, the marketing and custom content department at the <em>Star, </em>and the short-lived experiment with <em>yourmississauagabiz</em> and <em>yourhamiltonbiz</em>.</p>
