The Globe and Mail announces plans for new headquarters

<p>Canada’s largest national newspaper will be getting a new home.</p><p><em>The Globe and Mail</em> has announced plans for a new 480,000 square-foot building that will be constructed on the north-west corner of Front St. W and Spadina Ave. in Toronto, to be completed in late 2015. Perry Nixdorf, vice president of operations for <em>The Globe</em> said in an e-mail that the new building will be constructed on land adjacent to the paper’s current headquarters on Front St. W. A Toyota dealership currently sits on that corner of Front and Spadina.</p>

Rob Ford names George Christopoulos new press secretary

<p>George Christopoulos will start his new job as Mayor Rob Ford’s press secretary on Feb. 6, according to <a href="http://www.torontosun.com/2012/01/30/ford-names-george-christopoulos-new-press-secretary" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reports</a>.</p><p>Christopoulos is currently a communications coordinator for the Toronto Police and previously worked at the <em>Toronto Sun</em> as a journalist for over a decade. City Hall was one of the beats that Christopoulos covered up until he left the paper in 2003.  </p>

CBC Radio host Dave Bronstetter to retire

<p>After three decades at CBC, it has been announced that Dave Bronstetter will host his last broadcast on Feb. 18, <a href="http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Radio+host+Dave+Bronstetter+goes/6067841/story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the <em>Montreal Gazette</em> reports</a>.</p><p>Bronstetter has been on a leave of absence from CBC Montreal’s <em>All in a Weekend</em> since the fall, and informed his bosses just this week that he would not be returning, according to the <em>Gazette</em>.</p>

Titre professionnel: la chicane rebute la ministre St-Pierre
