L’affirmation étonne mais c’est le constat de chercheurs canadiens qui ont étudié trois entreprises de presse en 2007. Colette Brin, Kai Hildebrandt, Lydia Miljan et Walter C. Soderlund ont analysé les contenus des groupes CTVglobemedia, Canwest Global Communications et Quebecor. Ils ont découvert qu’il y avait très peu d’échange de nouvelles entre les journaux et les télés d’un même groupe.</p>

Victoria’s Times Colonist wins 2011 Michener Award

<p>The<em> Times Colonist</em> in Victoria, B.C. is the recipient of the <a href="http://www.michenerawards.ca/english/winAward/winaward2011.htm">2011 Michener Award</a> for a series exposing a policy put forth by the B.C. government, which reduced funding for people with development disabilities. The story eventually caused the province to commit to $40 million to improve services, announce policy changes and demote the minister of social development.
