According to Radio-Canada, the alleged impersonation took place in November last year, two days after the apparent bullying-related suicide of Marjorie Raymond, a teenage girl from Saint-Anne-des-Monts, Quebec. According to the lawsuit, Langelier interviewed the mother of the girl who had allegedly bullied Raymond under the pretext that he was a police officer.

Soundbites from the call were broadcast on FM 93 and 98.5 FM in Montreal, said Radio-Canada.

Canoe.ca reports that Langelier will plead not guilty to criminal charges and that he faces no suspension from the radio station. If found guilty, he could face up to five years of prison.
