<p><img align="left" alt="" class="imagecache-thumbnail inline-image" hspace="10" src="http://j-source.ca/sites/www.j-source.ca/files/imagecache/thumbnail/images/John Furlon_0.JPG" title="" />John Furlong, a long-time journalist with CBC Newfoundland and Labrador, died at 63 from cancer.</p><p><a href="http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/john-furlong-cbc-host-and-producer-dead-at-63-1.2611833?cmp=rss" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CBC reported</a> that Furlong hosted his last edition of <em>Radio Noon</em> on March 3, ending a journalism career that spanned four decades.</p>
