OpenFile Montreal reporter took Twitter rescue tip from student journos

<p> </p><p><a href="http://openfile.ca/home/montreal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">OpenFile Montreal</a> reporter Justin Ling was arrested last night while covering a student demonstration in Montreal. Just after midnight OpenFile <a href="https://twitter.com/openfilemtl/status/205138555276771328" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweeted</a> to police for help in locating Ling.</p><blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>@<a href="https://twitter.com/SPVM">SPVM</a> One of our reporters, @<a href="https://twitter.com/justin_ling">justin_ling</a>, has been arrested. Reporters in conflict: The psychological ill-effects and why they should be treated

<p>Front-line war reporters have much in common with each other; few other jobs include risking your life to deliver the news. It is an experience that perhaps only war reporters understand. But some differ in how they deal with those experiences, if they even deal with it at all. Follow-up: Canadian photojournalist on reintegrating former child soldiers

New model for news launched

<p>Hey folks, after 3 1/2 years of planning and execution, the first ad-<br />free media site in the world dedicated to original, long-form  <br />journalism has launched.
