Kevin Newman has signed on as the new co-host of CTV’s Question Period, just in time for the start of the program’s 41st season in September. He joins longtime current host Craig Oliver.
In addition to this role, Newman has also been named Digital News Evangelist for Bell Media. That job starts August 22 — and in case you couldn’t quite tell from the rather wonderful job title, it will involve shaping the digital future of CTV News, and building the network’s digital brand.
As such, Newman has, of course, already Tweeted about his new spot: “I have a fantastic new challenge!”
Newman has more than 30 years experience in the journalism field, including, most recently, his time spent as national news anchor at Global before he stepped down in August 2010. For more information, check out the press release.
