John Doyle says while he’s found TV news coverage of the Japan disaster filled with “confusion, weirdness and fear,” he’s especially critical of how they’ve reported nuclear issues.  The Globe and Mail columnist says TV News is too deferential to (nuclear) authorities, and “most reporters and anchors are as ignorant as the viewing public. There has been much less rigorous analysis than there needs to be on the nuclear issue.”
