CTV British Columbia has launched CTV News Digital Edition, a three-minute local noon newscast designed specifically for smartphones — the first of its kind. The show is hosted by CTV BC News anchor Coleen Christie and is available without downloading any apps.

In a press release, Tom Haberstroh, vice-president and general manager of CTV BC says that “We can deliver nine super snackable stories plus weather in a three-minute newscast, and we’re the only ones doing it locally.”
