Masthead Online has announced the nominees for its Canadian Online Publishing Awards.
The awards are broken into three divisions: Red (Consumer, custom, religious, public association),
Blue (Business-to-business, professional association, farm, scholarly) and a new division, green (Daily and weekly newspapers).
The awards have 11 categories: best overall companion website, best overall online-only publication website, best website design, best news coverage, best blog, best video or multimedia feature, best use of social media, best online-only article, best cross-platform initiative, best e-newsletter and best mobile application.

Up for best overall companion website: Best Health, Flare, Macleans and The Hockey News.
Up for best online-only publication website: Rabble.ca, sweetspot.ca, Torontoist and Vitamin Daily.
One of the nominees in the “best video” category is UBC j-student Daniel Hallen, whose nominated video can be watched here.
