The Globe and Mail’s “dramatic” redesign will hit newsstands on Friday, Oct. 1st.

A press release says the redesign will feature “the most significant changes in The Globe‘s history, including colour on every page, outstanding photo and graphic production, special stock paper and custom print options for advertisers.”

The redesign follows a new long-term contract with Transcontinental Inc. that gives the paper access to cutting-edge print technology, making The Globe the first Canadian paper to enjoy a perk employed by only five other newspapers worldwide.

Readers will also see differences between the weekday paper and weekend papers, with a revamped GlobeStyle section and more indepth editorial and analysis. Globeandmail.com will also receive a facelift.
