The Canadian Centre for Investigative Reporting (CCIR) announced that
board president Pamela Cross is stepping down and has been replaced by
Alex Roslin. In addition, Montreal-based investigative journalist Julian Sher has
joined the board
of directors.

The directors are the governing body of the CCIR.

Julian Sher is the creator and webmaster of JournalismNet and the author of five investigative books.

“Julian Sher is an award-winning investigative journalist, television writer and director and the author of five books, including One Child at a Time: Inside the Police Hunt to Rescue Children from Online Predators. He is a frequent contributor to the Globe and Mail and his work has been featured in The New York Times, USA Today, Maclean’s and The Walrus. He has covered wars from Afghanistan to Iraq, Somalia and Beirut. His work has garnered a Gemini; the Governor General’s Michener-Deacon fellowship and the Canadian Association of Journalists’ Best Investigative Report of the Year. He wrote and directed a New York Times-CBC TV investigation into nuclear terrorism which won the Columbia University DuPont Award in New York, in 2006.”
