Tony Accurso, a Montreal-based construction entrepreneur, is suing Radio-Canada for defamation, CBC News reports.
According to the report, Accurso is arguing that a Radio-Canada report produced by journalist Alain Gravel, which aired on Sept. 24, infringed on his right to privacy. The report alleged corruption.
Accurso is seeking $2 million for damages and $500,000 in punitive damages. He is a controversial figure who has been linked to scandals in Quebec politics.
