As part of continued changes at CBC, the public broadcaster has announced that Peter Armstrong will be the new host of World Report on Radio One and Mark Kelley will host a news talk show on Newsworld starting in the fall.

Armstrong, who is returning to Toronto from a posting in Jerusalem, has worked for CBC from Quebec City, Saint John, Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver.

The news talk show that Kelley will host will be “centred on breaking news events” and will run from 7 to 9 p.m. ET on Newsworld.

Kelley has been a correspondent for The National and an anchor on CBC News: Morning and Disclosure.
