After the launch of the Canadian Writers Group (CWG) earlier this month, Masthead Online asked a selection of editors and writers what they think about the new freelance writers’ agency.
Some writers are pleased with the prospect of having someone else handle the business side of things, while editors say they just can’t afford to cough up any more cash for writers. No surprise there. But one editor, Vancouver‘s Gary Ross, did say he won’t hesitate to look outside of the CWG if the rates demanded by the agency’s writers are too high.
