Global Television has launched a new late night, one-hour news program in Toronto.

News Hour Final, at 11 p.m., is hosted by Leslie Roberts.

In addition to extending the the late night news by thirty minutes, Global is getting involved with social media by using tools such as Twitter and live blogging.

Roberts will be tweeting at twitter.com/lrobertsglobal and viewers are being invited to participate online at globaltvontario.com.

Ward Smith, news director at Global News Ontario said in a news release:

“News Hour Final will provide the stories that GTA viewers need and want to see, offering a complete view of the day’s issues in a fresh and interactive way.”
