The fine folks at Gawker, that quirky, gossipy, but highly informative online magazine thingy, have come up with some tips for the potential journalist looking to strike out and make it rich. First off, don’t do that. If this satirical yet oddly accurate guide has anything to say about it, the odds of making money at this thing are about as good as an unknown Alaskan governor being chosen as VP pick. Wait…what?
In all seriousness, we’re sort of screwed, but there’s always a way to make money, the Gawkers say. And though you may have to spend a few more years at the copy desk before your career is made, so be it.
Also, what’s this Internet everybody keeps talking about? It seems like there’s a future in it, if you ask me.
