CBC reporter Aarti Pole is joining Global National as a correspondent in its Washington bureau.
Pole starts her new role on Sept. 29 and will work alongside newly appointed Washington bureau chief Jackson Proskow.

CBC reporter Aarti Pole is joining Global National as a correspondent in its Washington bureau.
Pole starts her new role on Sept. 29 and will work alongside newly appointed Washington bureau chief Jackson Proskow.
Pole is a graduate of Ryerson University’s journalism program and has worked for seven years for CBC News Network and The National.
“We would like to welcome Aarti to Global News,” said Kenton Boston, vice-president of Global BC and Global National, in a statement. “Her passion and expertise will complement Proskow and the rest of the Global National team while covering the biggest stories out of Washington.”
